About David Jones
David Jones was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. before moving to Morrisburg at age two. A graduate of Seaway District High School in Iroquois, David started his production company in April of 2006 through Ontario's Young Entrepreneurs Summer Company Program. David applied for the program with the hopes of launching a production company that could combine his interests in history and film.
The Ontario Government's Summer Company Program provided the seed money to launch the company, while a family loan and sponsorship funds provided the resources necessary to produce the commemorative DVD celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project.
In 2008, David Jones Productions was approached by the Winchester District Memorial Hospital to make a 60th Anniversary DVD. This was premiered at the hospital's 60th Anniversary Gala in Winchester. This second project, titled "60 Years of Caring", was made collaboratively with KAV Productions of Cornwall. David wrote the script and completed initial research, while KAV Productions filmed and edited the project.
In addition to operating David Jones Productions, David is a full time student, entering his 3rd year in the College of Humanities at Carleton University. He is currently working on converting "A River Lost" into an educational film for public schools in Ontario.
